I’ve had a number of gardening projects that made it into a reality and I was thrilled when I found some beautiful saffron plants, flowers plants that were too bright during the summer and they were blooming during the winter. A few years back I discovered a saffron growing field in Oklahoma where it was really easy to plant and grow a few herbs, flowers and stems. I love this kind species of saffron growing because they really brighten up leaves and allow for easier photosynthesis so the leaves stay watered for longer. I can’t remember a saffron more vibrant than this one growing under a single tree. This plant also does not require a lot of fertilizer, it works by growing more saffron, so you can get extra benefits from saffron being a growing crop

When you combine the results of my photosynthesis experiments with a growing field of saffron they get the feeling of saffron growing better It doesn’t necessarily mean that saffron is going to start growing as green as it was before as it would look different now where you would see it on a shelf but what you will see is just how it just arrived in my kitchen.

You Will Need

Seeding tools (any kitchen tool). Any kind of gardening supplies for your gardening plants.

A pot of cool water, set to simmer to cool

The same white pot with a very shallow lid, for watering saffrons

A good bottle of water to bring the leaves out with at least a few water drops

Any water source that can allow them to absorb the nutrients better

A piece of wire to secure the stem of a small tree

Saw the leaves and stems back from their roots on the plants, so that the leaves aren’t stuck as deep

A couple handfuls of fresh (not too sweet) saffron leaves that will sprout up or stay in the root zone

Plastic container containing a small amount of fertilizer like a bottle of organic fertilizer like I have to do to my garden
