I think so After college I learned to play it. After I finished that I started to play piano. When I was 16 and 17 I started playing guitars and then I was playing guitar. So when I was 19 I started to play guitar. But when I’m 23 I started to play guitar. So that’s what I do now.
What were the influences you had on your music
My love for drums came on the way to playing drums, but I also love singing. I started playing with guitar when I was 17 in Chicago and at the time I would often play drums.
Why did you choose to listen to your favourite bands in the US, like Rage Against The Machine and Bad Blood
I chose to listen to those bands because they were good, they had big name stars in them but also had songs that had my love. It also was because when I got there my brother used to go to the shows and I asked him how he loved us. He laughed and said, I love Bad Blood.
What has led you to make a move to the UK
I’ve actually always been an artist. I started doing music in the States because I had to work in a record store. I thought it would be great after that to have a British sound. I didn’t have any money and just worked hard. I think that’s what led me to make a record which is not a UK concept.
I met Paul for the first time in London when I was 15 and that’s when I actually started to get into the sound. I’m not a huge producer and we only went together for 20 minutes and that was one of the best experiences of my life. I think it’s been a huge success.
How has your style of music influenced a lot of you
I would say I always listen to British bands, I always listen to music out there that I feel can help us. I’m very interested in how UK sounds come together and a lot of those bands that have been around that world or that can really help us a lot.
What do you make sure to bring to life
I wanted to bring more of what you want to create to people’s lives. I’m not trying to be one of the big boys in the world just because I’m an old school punk. I’m trying to bring some of that to the people that I love.
