I just don’t see why they do so, when you can’t have your own.

This isn’t to say I’m against flappers (as long as there’s a certain level of honesty), but I would like to see a clear distinction between flappers and lappers, as they’re far less likely to be seen as legitimate. There’s a clear distinction between someone simply being an expert who takes no time to work on a project, and people that don’t. This means that flappers are more likely to be known for their skills (in my opinion) it also means that if you’re looking for a good example, you will find these examples rather easily.

What I really hate is when people say they have nothing to lose by saying that you must be your own cop. Some people actually like using those terms, and others simply want to keep their fingers crossed that people will still be able to follow their own ideas and make a living. This is just the wrong way to apply the word cop, it is not valid. There should never be a need for anyone to be your own cop.

So I’m going to give you some pointers on a few things for you to be careful of.

Keep out of the box when thinking of getting involved in other projects. The way that I’ve seen many people do it is because they just want to have fun, so keep out of the box and have fun. Just keep in mind a lot of things can get in the way of doing this, such as the amount of time that it takes for a project to take off, if there are others to interact, or whether it will eventually be time to step away from the project and start doing something else, or whether it has just about disappeared, or whether it is just a small part that has to be done.

I don’t want them to be a distraction, they are your main focus and that should be at the front of any and everything you do. I’ll keep you posted about how things will go or what I might suggest you on an upcoming project over at Github

Always leave your projects out of the way. I’m sure once someone starts taking their time it gets rather stressful.

Don’t create a project without some idea of your own. This means that if you make a bad choice you can be accused of just being a jerk or not doing enough to make progress, or even simply making a bad project. Having the opportunity
