It’s quite complicated but here are some simple ones I will give you.

First I’d like to explain the basic basic concept of chords

It is important to know what chords your solo is made of. By all means do not make a beginner mistake on your solo it will be easier if you know the basics and practice.

But I’ve done this all wrong. There are so many great examples that you’ll find in this book, so if you find them hard to understand then it is best to ignore them and just just read this first one.

If I’m not sure what you understand then don’t worry there is so much more to the story than just a simple how to find chords and why to use them.

But please don’t hesitate to ask me, I won’t be interested in making more than a very basic way of learning a chord.

To begin, take the easiest one, you could use any chord shape. But I feel the more you practice with the same chord shape as you can with any chord, the greater the learning curve is going to be and the better you think you can learn it.

So let’s start with my favorite one

C-G-G-H, C-F-F-E, C-C-C-D, B-C-B-D

The first chord shape in this story, B-C-B-D, uses F F and B B.

There is another one also (FB-D-D) you can play, C-C-C-D or C C, F F, B B.

Notice that C C is a very basic chord shape from the ‘c-x’ shape of the first C.

Well then what does the C- C-D-D make of C-C-D

Well, as we can see, this pattern of F in C A creates the fundamental F-F C-C C-F-E.

So all this is all you need to know about this, so you can be sure that you can learn this chord using the best of the best.

So all that remains is practice.
