I’ll start by talking about some of the guitarists who have made it onto this site in different circumstances. But the gist of this post is that, with just a little practice, you’ll learn everything from how to learn an entire hand, to how to play at concerts, and even then, what can I do to improve it all

I will also give you an in-depth explanation, for how to learn a new Guitarist.

You will be hearing a lot from me. How many times have we talked about my favorite guitar, yet at the end of the day you won’t. I’ve been doing this for the last 12 years, ever since I graduated from high school in the seventies and eighties, but my favorite guitar wasn’t so much a guitar, but a guitar I’d really want to play, so I thought it might be nice to share a few more secrets. But wait, there is still one you don’t know. My own favorite was the Fender Rhodes. When I started high school in the early nineties, I’d play for all of my friends. We got so old and stressed out that we lost interest in the guitars we loved, so we decided to put in the extra time to learn the style they offered. It wasn’t until a couple years later that I got a Rhodes, and it brought me into the musical world.

The guitar I learned from my friends was my Gibson SG-40. In that time, I had never played any other guitar at all, but they taught me how a good guitar would sound. That is to say my friends were all playing guitars that I liked (and I am very fond of them), so I picked this up for myself when I went to a friend’s place. I was excited to go out with them. This was also one of the first times I learned basic fingerstyle guitar. That is, I started playing with my friend James Harkness, who at the time, had the world’s best and worst Gibson SG-40.
