My violin is one of those rare stones that’s pretty darn close to a no (it’s yes), so let’s get real. The reason why I bought my violin is that if you take the time to listen to it, you can easily detect that the strings are not too soft like I was expecting. The reason I love it so much, though, is that it’s a pretty unique instrument. This is how I like it (I don’t actually need to ask you to pick anything from my collection).

I like my violin, which for some reason has more than just a very simple vintage vibe. I like the chop sound. I like the notes on the strings, but not the fret tips so, I really like the little ones.
I like the pick sound a lot, because I am actually not much of a violinist and my fingerpicking usually doesn’t feel like that. So my fingers seem to glide through space like I am just taking notes by hand. So, this violin is not my favorite instrument, but it doesn’t feel the worst.
I like it. It’s hard to put into words the feeling of I like the violin. It’s fun and relaxing. It doesn’t sound like a big deal. I mean, it’s also a guitar-class instrument, and it does sound quite well for a solo.

I’ve played violin since I was about 11, and as I don’t have any instruments to use, I guess you could say I’m kind of a mystery violin fan. I can easily imagine this violin feeling like it could be very difficult to learn or master in some other form (especially if you want to learn how to play other instruments), but I mean, that doesn’t mean it’s not a completely amazing instrument.
