How do you make a nice violin
Yes I guess. I just like the idea of being able to go out there and sing your own way and make sure that people like it.
Any other violin topics you would want to share with us
Absolutely. A good example of that is if you’re in a band and want to put out something like a big concert called Redding. It’s a very beautiful thing in this city and when you’re doing it outside, it’s just beautiful. Then you look into it where those big concert pieces are coming up but you can’t really go out there and bring in the audience without them feeling like their part of it. So you’re able to create something that’s actually exciting and has this kind of a feeling of being able to take a song and bring it to a whole new audience.
Where do you find the inspiration for your new sound
For me, it’s a little bit like the music I use for my house album, ‘Door to Door’. I like playing a big room and when anybody has a bass I’d play that way. I’d have to play really big, big things. But for me and for many people my house records are a little bit more open. I like to be in my room, I like to be with the orchestra, then I can play in a new room and the music plays. And I find in my house recordings, too. The music is different to the house recording in a lot of ways. But you get the feeling of playing with the people. I’ve always been influenced by the piano and I think that’s where inspiration comes through in my music as well.
What is your second album
Yes there’s this one called ‘Punk in a Box’. That was a lot of a challenge trying to make it even with those records. There’s a lot of music I’ve just dropped, so when I got the part on the album the song really started to come alive.
Did you have all those other records before you started work on this album and how is it different from how the other things you’ve been doing in your band were before working on this record
Well, my first album was called, ‘Honey and Honey’ and it was my idea really. The album was a little bit more like a kind of a musical project where I’d go in and sing. I would give out songs and stuff like that. But at the same
