I’m trying to find music that is very different from the old Nazi songs of our times, he said. A former Nazi soldier, he is in a great position to find those original German-inspired melodies, which are very popular today. And Dax says it’s been a long time since he and his band are making music. I’ve lived in Germany, Berchner said. I’ve traveled back and forth from the Nazi past into life here. We are different now.
